Do the thing.
You know you want to do the thing.
Post images or lyrics or a starter or tell me what you want and I'll write one.

Her fingers threading through his hair lightened his heart and he leaned their foreheads together, revelling in being able to hold her again. The library was indeed mighty and full of fascinating tomes, but she was the other half of his soul.
"The library is still there with many fascinating books and scrolls. But there is only one of you, so here I am."

"I am glad you prefer me over the books." A little laugh as she twirled a piece of his hair around one of her fingers. Dark strands around soft, pale fingers. "And now you are my prisoner for how can I let one so perfect as you leave me for books now? What shall you do?"
no subject
"I believe I can live with so perfect a captor! Books are nothing when compared to you." All the knowledge in Arda hadn't been able to keep her with him, but now... Now she was as healed as any could make her. There was light and joy in her heart and peace in her mind.

"And we have plenty of stories to share with each other still. And this is a good place for it." She gave his hair a gentle tug. "You start though."
Because there weren't a lot of stories she could tell him since she had left.

"Have I told you of the dwarven company that came through Imladris?" He knew he hadn't. But he was greedy for her voice, even just a laugh or a breath. Just to prove she was alive. "How Lindir fretted over the mess they made of the stores?"
no subject
"And of course Lindir fretted. He frets about a good number of things." He had even fretted when she'd first been pregnant, when Arwen had once scraped her knee (though Celebrían had done the same).

Elrond smiled in agreement. The smallest thing could set poor Lindir off. "The mischief they caused! There was food thrown all over, music interrupted. And Glorfindel joined them in the fountain." So stern he looked, but it was destroyed with the mirth in his eyes.
"I feared for Lindir's good health, beloved!"
no subject
"It sounds as if they had a good time!" She could see that mirth and she poked him. "And I suppose you did absolutely everything in your power to restore order?"
Meaning nothing.
no subject
"Naturally," he answered with a benign look, though an eyebrow threatened to climb up. Yup. Absolutely nothing.

"Almost as terrible as when you let me send him for honey fish when I was pregnant. Just how long was it that you let him search before telling him there was no such thing?"

"So, how much damage was left from the dwarves?"
no subject
"The stores were nearly empty. Had they stayed much longer we might have had to request aid for the winter." He was an obedient husband - most of the time. Elrond leaned their foreheads together, simply happy to keep holding her close. "As it was, we were able to increase hunting and foraging parties and managed quite well."

"Mithrandir might have given you some warning though. He always seemed to know more than he ever let on. And had far more under his sleeve than expected."
