Do the thing.
You know you want to do the thing.
Post images or lyrics or a starter or tell me what you want and I'll write one.

omnomnom! XD
And she was perfect. A gentle, warm smile formed, then spread to be visible.
"My daughter told me you might be here, and the Lord of this Valley was good enough to verify it." A pause, then he bowed his head a little, strictly formal in the gesture but the light in his eyes was only warm. "I am Arafinwe."
mmmm yummy!
"Your daughter? who- Oh!" He didn't need to answer her question for her to realize once he'd introduced himself. The light, similar gold hair, the name, only one person could match such a description and reminder her of her mother while bearing that name. She had stories to go by, when she'd been young Celebrían had been incorrigible when she wanted stories about her grandparents.
"I- I see." Celebrían's cheeks flushed a little. "You mean my mother. I am so pleased to meet you!"

He was glad this precious child knew his name, and what he was to her. She didn't need to say it, he could see it. His daughter's tears of joy at being forgiven for staying had been wiped away, and he hoped in time she would sail home. When she was ready.
But for now he set that aside, standing before Celebrian just looking at her. "I do. And I am very pleased to meet you!" Already he was glad for his choice to stay a time. His guards had been firmly told to stay out of the way, to help but not hinder. Some of them, he knew, would go out on regular patrols while the rest kept a closer eye on him.
"May I sit with you a time?"
<3
After a moment, she took a step aside and gestured for him to have a seat with her on the waters edge. And then took her seat again, slipping her feet back into the cool water.
"I can hardly believe you came here to visit with me. If ever I thought about it, I would think you would visit Lothlorien with mother and father."

It was almost a dream, sitting with a granddaughter he hadn't known existed until recently. "Why would I not wish to visit with you? Your mother knows I will go to here before I must return home, and we have had some time already to grow reacquainted."
He didn't want to squander this chance.

"You have not seen her in so long and did not know of me. I imagine you would have wanted to spend time with someone familiar." It wasn't quite an objection, and she would probably join him when he went to see her mother. Elrond wouldn't mind. He might even suggest it if she knew her husband at all.

"For the moment I am where I should be. With someone already dear to my heart in a place she belongs. I hope I am graced with the chance to know her."

"You came all this way, you must have questions."
no subject
"I confess I have few, other than to want to hear all you would tell me. About your life, about your interests. Everything."
no subject
"Music. I like music, the flute particularly. And painting. There are a couple of my paintings in the Hall of Fire."
no subject
"Would you play for me? And I would like to see your paintings." Later. He was in no hurry to stand.
no subject
"What of you? What do you enjoy?"
no subject
"When I have time?" He rejoined with a smile. "I love to ride, or walk through the gardens. Your grandmother and I do either when we can." Earwen would love this precious child, he knew.
no subject
"We can go for a ride if you like. Elrond's horses all have very good temperaments."
no subject
"I would love to."
no subject
"You may have to bribe the horses though. They are good but you are new. And they are spoiled for treats and attention sometimes." Not her fault, she would deny any such claims. Nobody could prove anything.
